About Paresse

Hej and welcome to Paresse!
My name is Isabelle Fraizy, I live in Göteborg, Sweden and I’m a french mom who loves to sew.
Paresse means lazyness in french.
Lazyness has never been something I’ve considered as a waste of time. I rather think about it as time spent for doing things you enjoy!
You will find on this blog sewing projects from those lazy moments. And, since recently, things about being a mom.
The story behind Paresse
Paresse started on a simple need: feel good in my clothes.
Fabric quality, an original and unique design, comfort and wearability, smart and cool details are all the attributes I expect when I look for a new piece.
It’s been increasingly difficult to find all of those attributes in affordable and fair fashion. I’ve been frustrated by the strategy of the global labels: mass production means in most cases a loss in quality, standard models that end up being worn by a whole city, and production outsourcing in countries where working conditions are still unfair.
Hope you’ll enjoy this page as much as I enjoy making and wearing those clothes!
